Bandwidth caps will affect any sort of download or upload, whether it is surfing web pages, reading email, watching videos, backing up data, regardless if done using DNA or not. Keep in mind that bandwidth caps are typically set at quite large limits that won't affect the vast majority of end-users. For example, Comcast implemented a 250GB monthly cap which is estimated to affect less than 1 percent of all users. Many ISPs are planning on developing tools that will provide consumers with visibility into their bandwidth utilization levels, and BitTorrent will look at integrating into these in order for DNA to behave more intelligently and avoid uploading where it would exceed caps.
