DNA will improve the robustness of an end-user's download, and ensure that download speeds are maximized, even for popular content.

  • Congestion.  Network congestion can cause individual download connections to slow, or become highly variable.  DNA provides more consistent download speeds by making a large number of simultaneous connections to geographically diverse peers, so congestion issues with any one given connection will be compensated by other connections.  Even if an origin server's uplink capacity is rate-limited, DNA will ensure that an end-user's internet connection will be fully utilized by downloading content pieces from other peers.
  • Scalability.  With traditional delivery infrastructure unexpected spikes in demand can lead to content unavailability.  With DNA scalability is not limited; the more popular a piece of content is, the more peers that will be available to share it.  The DNA peer network grows automatically based on the number of users.
  • Geography.  CDNs have geographic limitations based on the build out of their delivery infrastructure.  Conversely, DNA is a global organic peer network based on user-contributed bandwidth; it adapts in real-time to ensure a high-quality user experience on a worldwide basis regardless of location.
