1. DNA Downloader
The DNA Downloader is the simplest and quickest way to start using BitTorrent DNA. It allows end-users to download large files using the DNA peer network.
The DNA Downloader itself is a small application (~200kB) that automates:
- installation of the DNA client (if not already installed);
- download of a specified file through the DNA peer network (using the DNA client);
- various post-download options (e.g. could be opening a folder or execution the downloaded file)
A customized DNA Downloader can be created using the web-based Create Downloader form. Providing this form with the URL of the file to be distributed will result in the creation of a personalized DNA Downloader executable that can be linked to from your website, and made available to users. Running the DNA Downloader will use the DNA peer network to download of the file specified by the URL in the Publish File form. The form also has a number of optional customization parameters that allow further tailoring of the DNA Downloader UI style and the behavior including customized icons, header images, text, and launching web pages.
