2014/06/30

Staff Picks is dedicated to surfacing the best music, film, and art downloads on the Internet; digitally handmade by BitTorrent Publishers. Read on for this week’s finds.

In this edition of Staff Picks: A New York hip hop staple preps a new album and drops his new single on BitTorrent Bundle. Jeru the Damaja first broke through as a guest on the legendary Gangstarr’s 1992 album Daily Operations. He followed up his debut with his album The Sun Rises in the East featuring his own hit single Come Clean, making him a pillar in the New York hip hop scene in the early 1990’s.

In the years since, the grind has continued. Jeru has self-released numerous albums, maintaining his presence in the underground hip hop community. His consistent worldwide touring has produced collaborations with artists and producers across Europe and Asia. Jeru’s tracks have been featured in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 4, True Crime: New City and GTA IV.

About BitTorrent Bundle

BitTorrent Bundle is an alpha project made with and for the web’s creative community. Our mission is to help artists connect directly with fans, inside the content they share.

Each BitTorrent Bundle allows artists to distribute content directly to the Internet. An each Bundle comes with a key. Fans can unlock artist content with an email address. The idea is to make each song a storefront, and each file more valuable, each time it’s shared. Got ideas for the next BitTorrent Bundle? Hit us up.
